Survey on Madrid System new languages
Do you file and/or manage International Registrations in the Madrid System? Do you have a view about the addition of new languages? If so, please complete a short survey on the MARQUES website!
As readers may be aware, WIPO Member States are considering adding Arabic, Chinese and Russian as languages in the Madrid System. While International Registration fees will not increase, processing applications in the three new languages would likely be extended.
MARQUES participates in the Madrid Working Group, in which this proposal is being discussed. To better inform our contributions, we are carrying out a short survey regarding the proposal.
The survey comprises 11 questions and should only take a few minutes to complete. It is aimed at trade mark professionals at both companies and law firms who use the Madrid System.
We welcome input from both MARQUES members and non-members. By obtaining as many responses as possible. MARQUES will be able to convey comprehensive information about users’ priorities to the Madrid Working Group.
The survey is available here. MARQUES would be very grateful if you can participate.
