Singapore, Cambodia make pact on recognition of design filings
If your IP aspirations are drifting off towards the Far East, the following information from the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) will be of interest to you -- and possibly of considerable value. According to this statement from IPOS:
Applicants can soon enjoy ease of application for patents and industrial designs in Cambodia and Singapore by filing in either country, according to the terms of a recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IPOS and Cambodia’s Ministry of Industry and Handicraft (MIH).
Watch out for further information, since a commencement date for this new filing arrangement is still awaited.
