Today the online version of the Official Journal of the European Union published Commission Regulation 104/2009 of 3 February 2009 approving non-minor amendments to the specification for a name entered in the register of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications (Gorgonzola (PDO)).

Once again, there is no convenient means by which anyone who seeks to use the term Gorgonzola can click through to another page on the EU website that describes what these "non-minor amendments" are. Readers of this weblog, and the organsations to which they belong, are encouraged to make representations to the European Commission to rectify this small but annoying deficiency in the otherwise improving manner in which information concerning brands, geographical indications and labelling is made available to the public.
