French trade marks database opens publicly on 3 April 2009
A short announcement on Icimarques.com confirms that INPI, the French IP Office, will provide a free web access to its trade marks database on 3 April 2009.
Back in Janaury the ministry of Econmy and Industry had announced the signature of a contract with the IP Office setting goals to reach between 2009 and 2012. The availability of a free trade mark database was one of them. Databases for designs and jurisprudence are also supposed to become available in the future.
