Branding deal makes for improbable bedfellows
AWN reports on an improbable deal that has been struck by iconic upmarket store Harvey Nichols with Aardman Animations. Under this deal the use of the fictional characters WALLACE & GROMIT (right) has been secured by Harvey Nicks (founded 1813) for an advertising campaign to mark the opening of a new store in Bristol. For the purposes of this
campaign Wallace will be wearing a Dolce & Gabbana fitted shirt and an Alexander McQueen cashmere jacket, while Gromit will be kitted out in Ray-Bans. Harvey Nichols has stores in the UK, Ireland and further afield.
The responses of Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen and Ray-Ban are not recorded.
