Two new Community trade mark appeals have been lodged with the Court of Justice of the European Communities. They are Case C-108/08 P Portela & Companhia SA v Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market and Case C-131/08 P Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc. v Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market.

Also, next Thursday, 12 June, the ECJ gives its ruling in Case C-533/06 O2 Holdings & O2 (use of a competitor's trade mark in an advertisement for the purposes of comparing the characteristics of the goods or services sold by advertiser with those of the competitor).
