New to .eu: more registrants now eligible
Don't assume that a domain name ending in ".eu" automatically leads to a website of a resident of the European Union. As from 8 January 2014, residents, companies and organisations based in the European Economic Area countries of Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway will be eligible to register .eu domain names, with some corresponding changes being made to EURid's documentation and its Whois Policy and Terms and Conditions, according to EURid press releases on 3 December and 4 December 2013.
