Since Romania's accession to the European Union (EU) on 1 January 2007 and thus being under the umbrella of the Community trade mark system, interest in Romanian trade mark law has increased. The website "Legal Romania" has now published two interesting short articles authored by the Romanian law firm Voicu & Filipescu on the significance of trade mark protection in Romania and trade mark infringement in Romania. Both articles give an introduction to the relevant law and raise practical points.
