We're looking for a Webmaster: could it be you?
MARQUES is looking to appoint someone to oversee and take responsibility for the content and quality of its website at www.marques.org. The successful candidate will not need to handle the "behind-the screen" functionality or technical issues, which are dealt with by the MARQUES Secretariat.
This position is seen as being very much a part-time one, though it will require regular attention to the website's many pages and the issues that arise from it, ensuring that the information on the website is up to date, accurate, consistent and in line with MARQUES's objectives and policies The successful candidate will report to MARQUES Executive Director Chris Barnard and will be expected to liaise with the MARQUES Secretariat where necessary.
Since there is no formal remuneration package, this position may appeal to someone (i) who is familiar with MARQUES and its operations, be aware of what is going on in the MARQUES community and encourage the Secretariat, Council, MARQUES members and teams to provide relevant information for putting on the website. (ii) who is familiar with the MARQUES website and ideally has some experience of supervising or taking responsibility for websites and (iii) who, having recently retired, is looking for something to do that will keep him or her in contact with the world of trade marks and branding in Europe. Alternatively, the person may be currently working part-time and having some spare capacity which may be committed to MARQUES. The successful candidate will be welcome to attend MARQUES's events free of registration charges. A modest stipend may be available in an appropriate case.
Interested candidates should email MARQUES at info@marques.org, with the subject line “Webmaster”, furnishing a short statement as to their suitability for the position. Posted by: Blog Administrator @ 14.52
