Scam warning: be alert for OHIM/OHMI lookalike
A company calling itself "Community Trade Marks and Designs Ltd" and giving a London address but using Swedish (+46) phone and fax codes, is sending out instructions to pay money to it under the headings "OHIM Trademarks and Designs Registrations Office" (see example here) and "OHMI Office for International Registration Trademarks and Designs" (see example here, OHMI being the French acronym for OHIM).
MARQUES Treasurer David Golding has already notified the OHIM Litigation Department earlier today.
If you have any further information about this company and its activities, please email OHIM at information@oami.europa.eu using the heading "Fraudulent scams".
This message will also be posted on the MARQUES Linked In Group.
