Poland: sui generis protection of National symbols
Polish MPs in cooperation with associations of World War II veterans prepared a bill that would afford legal protection for the "Polska Walcząca" symbol (The Anchor). If the law passes the legislative path, this sign becomes a national treasure and will be protected similarly to other National symbols. The draft of the law was prepared at the request of soldiers of the Home Army and veterans and the Warsaw Uprising. They often explain that the symbol is not always used for patriotic reasons.
