Swedish sausage undergoes non-minor amendments
The Official Journal of the European Union carries news of
Falukorv is a classic Swedish sausage which initially consisted of 100% beef. Nowadays, however, a falukorv need consist of at least 40 percent beef and pork in order for it to be called falukorv. The name falukorv was first launched in Stockholm in the early 1800s when the sausages were shipped in large quantities from Dalarna. The sausage later became very popular and became known as "working class food".
