UKIPO: end of reclassifications by 31 October 2011
With effect from 31 October 2011 the UKIPO will stop reclassifying trade mark registrations.
The reason for this is that “... as Community Trade Marks and International Registrations (designating the UK) are not being reclassified the benefits of reclassifying the UK domestic registrations are questionable.”
Up to (and including) 31 October 2011 owners of trade mark registrations who wish to have their registration considered for reclassification may do so by contacting the UKIPO. Please click here for further details.
