Barr continues brand diversification strategy
Scottish soft drinks group AG Barr, which owns the Irn Bru and Tizer brands, has purchased sports drinks maker Taut International for a nominal £1, as part of Barr's plan to diversify into the "better for you" products sector. Barr has recently bought the Vitsmart and Vitaminsmart water brands. Taut sells bottled and sachet-packed products in retail outlets and health clubs across the UK.
