Publication for opposition purposes in Italy likely to kick off in July 2011.
Yesterday, the website of the Italian Professional Standards Board for Italian Patent and Trade marks Attorneys informed that the publication for opposition purposes is likely to kick off in July next, by means of a monthly or bimonthly online Official Bulletin in pdf format.
As previously communicated (see Class 46 post of 1 April here), the first Bulletin will relate to Italian trade mark applications filed as of 1 May 2011 with reference to which, after examination, the Italian PTO has held that no absolute grounds for refusal exist, as well as to International registrations designating Italy published in the WIPO Gazette as of 1 July 2011 (regardless of their filing date, which could date back to a previous date).
Further developments will be reported as soon as available.
