Spain - Busy Week for Customs.
Spanish Custom Authorities ("Agencia Tributaria") have been pretty busy last week. Spanish economic journal “Cinco Días” (accessible here) reported that 230,000 allegedly counterfeited products have been seized by the Custom Authorities of Algeciras (southern Spain). All these products (affecting a total of 45 trade mark owners) are stored in six containers that were shipped from the port of Yantian (China) destination Morocco via Algeciras, Spain. Declared value of the shipment is of Euro 200,000,000. The case has been already taken by a Criminal Court.
