First Come First Served...
"Today filing a Community Trade Mark takes no longer than drinking a coffee... " these are the opening words of "First Come First Served" a special video produced by OHIM "... for YouTube designed to explain the benefits of Community trade mark protection to a general audience. The “First Come First Served” video was created internally and filmed using volunteer actors."
OHIM's website cites its President António Campinos as follows: “I think our volunteers have captured the importance of protecting intellectual property rights in a fun way, using familiar examples drawn from everyday life. Hopefully, this will both encourage Internet users to think about the issue of IP protection and bring a smile to their faces”.
This member of Class 46 quite liked the video (and is now wondering whether the volunteer actors were perhaps some of the examiners she has corresponded with) - but why not judge for yourself? OAMItubes's YouTube channel, which can be found via www.youtube.com/oamitubes, also features further video uploads, including a video called Cooperation Fund kicks off.
