Seminar on EU trade mark study: hold the date

Seminar on EU trade mark study: hold the date
The Study on the Overall Functioning of the European Trade Mark System, presented to the European Commission by the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property and Competition Law, was published on Tuesday (see earlier post here).
The MARQUES Class 46 weblog is currently trying to put together a programme for a seminar early next month at which interested people can discuss the contents of the Study, the likelihood of its proposals being implemented and their possible impact on trade mark owners, their professional advisers, OHIM and national offices. It is hoped that a note of the proceedings, together with any papers and PowerPoints, will be made available to all MARQUES Class 46 readers.
If you're interested, save the date -- it'll be on the afternoon of Tuesday 5 April, in Central London. It is intended that admission will be free and that CPD points will be available. This is not an official MARQUES event, but a chance for local MARQUES members in particular, and for the trade mark community in general, to find out a bit more about what the study's proposals mean.
