Good news for Greenland, but not the Faroes
By the Madrid (Marks) Notification No. 190 Denmark has declared that, with effect from 11 January 2011, the Madrid Protocol will apply in respect of Greenland. The Protocol will not however apply with respect to the Faroe Islands, which together with Greenland, were excluded when Denmark ratified it in 1995.
