Swedish Trade Mark Registry: Exchange visits from Slovenia and Croatia
On its website the the Swedish Patent and Registration Office reports of two successful exchange visits by representatives from the Slovenian and Croatian Trade Mark Registries. Both visits took place in January 2008 and were organised within the framework of International Cooperation of the European Patent Organisation with new and coming member states in the European Union. The visitors were especially interested in e-filing and organisational procedures and the Croation delegates confirmed that the Croatian Registry was planning to introduce an e-filing option sooner rather than later. It was also concluded that the Registries face very similar problems such as the "lack of knowledge amongst the customers on who to contact for commission services."
