Poland: Illegal hare
Readers of Class46 website probably remeber recent post titled "Poland: Lindt's problems with hares". The Warsaw's regional supplement of Gazeta Wyborcza published a story about another Lindt's problem with hares. The company decided to run an advertising campaing before Easter. The idea was to create a big balloon in a shape of Easter hare and to put it in an attractive place in Warsaw. It was created in cooperation with MediaDirect (media house) and NewLook company which put the balloon at the Constituation Square.
This advertising campaing triggered immediate response of the Management of City Roads (MCR). According to Adam Sobieraj the campaing lacked a proper permission and payment. Michal Porazinski from New Look argued that they've received the permit in February to place the hare but the Management noted that it did not agree for the inflatable balloon. The control department of the Management of City Roads claimed that a big egg should be placed instead of a hare. The MCR decided to impose the penalty fee to New Look (a daily rate for one square metre multiplied by ten) untill the company fils another request or remove the hare.
