Updated list of "warning sites" now available
A further edition of the MARQUES Class 46 PROVIDERS OF WARNING INFORMATION list has been produced for the use of all IP owners and professional advisers.  This contains the details of 18 websites which contain information concerning quasi-official demands for payments, scam sites and 'ghost notes' issued by businesses possibly fraudulently or in exchange for effectively worthless directory listings.

The 18 sites listed here are comprised of 14 sites run by public bodies that administer IP rights internationally, regionally or nationally, as well as four other helpful sites.  A big "thank-you" to everyone who has sent in information so far!

Readers will note that the vast majority of countries are not listed here.  If readers in those countries can provide further information by sending an email to me here, I will include it in the next update.

The amount of information, and its usefulness, varies very much from country to country and from office to office.  Class 46 hopes that, when next the heads of IP offices get together and are looking for something to discuss, they will consider making sure that the best features of each site are used by every one of them, to minimise the risk that businesses seeking IP protection will spend their money unnecessarily on the services in question.

You can read or download issue 5 of this list here.
