EUIPO has recently shared news about the expansion of TMview and DesignView, the latest SQAP audit and other developments

On 28 January 2019 Monaco made its trade mark data available on TMview. It followed Brunei, which made its trade mark and design data available on TMview and DesignView on 23 January. The latest Stakeholder Quality Assurance Panels Project (SQAP) audit took place from 16 to 18 January, with 18 users from nine user associations taking part. These included Roland Mallinson, Bas Kist and Zsófia Judit Klauber on behalf of MARQUES. The Austrian Patent Office (Österreichisches Patentamt, ÖPA) has implemented the Software Package Front Office (SPFO) for the e-filing of trade marks, a tool developed under the EUIPO’s European Cooperation Projects. A number of Decisions and Communications of the Executive Director of EUIPO have been updated, to align them in substance and/or in terminology with the new EUTMR, EUTMDR and EUTMIR. The EUIPO and Japan Patent Office hosted a four-day Trade Mark Experts meeting in Alicante from 28th to 31st January.
