Designs Team represented at OHIM Liaison Meeting
David Stone and Sebastian Fischoeder of the MARQUES Designs Team attended last month’s Designs Liaison Meeting hosted by our friends at the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM) in Alicante. A report on the meeting is included in the latest issue of the HouseMARQUES newsletter.
The Liaison Meeting included representatives from national IP offices, OHIM, the European Commission and user groups.
Topics discussed included changes to the Guidelines for designs, e-filing, technical cooperation, convergence projects CP6 and CP7, case law and the study on the functioning of the design system. A number of workshops were held, including one presented by MARQUES.
Also in the October issue of HouseMARQUES: a video interview with MARQUES Chair Uwe Over; the 7th China Trade Mark Festival; an interview with this year’s winner of the Lewis Gaze Memorial Scholarship; the latest developments on geographical indications; and much more.
