Falsely representing a design as being registered: what does one do?
"How do you pursue "Section 35" - Falsely Representing a Design as Registered?" This is the question raised by a correspondent who raises questions over the problems and challengesof reporting false representations of designs as being registered (a criminal offence under Section 35 of the UK's Registered Designs Act 1949) to the UK Authorities. He writes (and you can read his account in full here):
I tried to report a contravention of Section 35 of the Registered Designs Act to:

While clearly not all of the people and bodies listed here have any role or power with regard to the enforcement of criminal law in the United Kingdom, there are nonetheless serious questions to be answered, for example: how and to whom does one report such an offence; what happens once an offence is reported?
Do any readers have experience of reporting and.or enforcing section 35? If so, can they please get in touch and let us know.
