More Hague news: Brunei accedes to Geneva Act
Earlier today Class 99 posted news of Benin's acceptance of the termination of the London Act of the Hague Agreement.  Staying with countries that begin with the letter "B" but moving to quite another part of the planet, we are pleased to report that Brunei Darussalam (meaning Brunei, the Abode of Peace) has acceded to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement with effect from Christmas Eve, 24 December 2013.  The relevant WIPO media release reads thus:

The Hague Notification No. 120
Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs
Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs

Accession by Brunei Darussalam

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify the deposit by the Government of Brunei Darussalam, on September 24, 2013, of its instrument of accession to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs, adopted at Geneva on July 2, 1999 (the "Geneva Act").

The Geneva Act will enter into force, in respect of Brunei Darussalam, on December 24, 2013.
