Applications for GI status
Two new applications for PGI geographical protection protection have been published under Article 6(2) of Council Regulation 510/2006 on the protection of geographical indications and designations of origin for agricultural products and foodstuffs. They are for
PAN DE CRUZ DE CIUDAD REAL, a Spanish 'artisanal bread' which originated in the district of Calatrava in the province of Ciudad Real in the Autonomous Community of Castile-La Mancha, it dates back to the period of the Order of the Knights of Calatrava in the thirteenth century.Posted by: Blog Administrator @ 16.03
