Google: New technology allows "text in image" searches

Searchnewz.com reports that a new patent application by Google suggests that "text in image" indexing may soon become possible. According to Searchnews.com search giant Google is working on a new optical character recognition (OCR) technology which allows indexing of text in digital images. According to Searchnewsz.com this technology could "significantly increase the search engine giant's index and improve the search-ability of its various other media search databases (image, video etc)".
