Dutch brewery Bavaria sells soft drinks division
Dutch paper NRC Handelsblad reported yesterday that Dutch brewery Bavaria - well known for its famous trade mark Bavaria for beer, produced in Lieshout - wants to sell its soft drinks division to soft drink producer Refresco. According to the report the parties have undersigned a letter of intent. Trade marks involved for the soft drinks are 3es (referring to the three founding fathers of the Bavaria company, brothers Frans, Jan and Piet Swinkels) and Herschi. Bavaria announced that it will maintain its focus on the production and sale of beer and malting.
