Latvia: trade mark statistics since 1992
On its website the Patent Office of the Republic of Latvia gives an overview of the numbers of trade mark applications and registrations that have been filed since 1992.
While the overall number of new applications and registrations has slightly decreased in recent years to 1353 registrations via the "international route" and 3711 Latvian national registrations in 2006, the number of domestic Madrid Agreement applications has steadily increased from just 4 international application in 1995 to 102 applications in 2006.
