This, sadly, is not the first time we've posted information of this nature. However, human nature being what it is, it seems that there are always people around who are determined to make a living through the deception of those whose honest endeavours bring us so many benefits.  Anyway, over the past few days EUIPO has become aware that some of its users have been receiving misleading invoices from one particular source.These invoices contain a logo that is very similar to that of EUIPO and they are addressed from a sender identified as 'IPO, Intellectual Property Office'. Users are asked to take care before paying invoices and to check that the source is official. Users are also reminded that the Office never sends invoices or letters requesting direct payment for services. The Office has made available a list of firms or registers that its users have complained of as having sent misleading invoices. Samples of this, and other invoices, can be found in that list.
