Law and Practice of Trademark Transactions: a big new book

The Law and Practice of Trademark Transactions: A Global and Local Outlook is the fifth volume in Edward Elgar Publishing's Elgar Intellectual Property Law and Practice series. It's edited by Irene Calboli (Deputy Director, Applied Research Centre for Intellectual Assets and the Law in Asia, Visiting Professor, School of Law, Singapore Management University and Professor of Law, Texas A&M University School of Law, US) together with Jacques de Werra (Professor of Contract Law and Intellectual Property Law, Law School, University of Geneva, Switzerland).  According to the publishers:

The Law and Practice of Trademark Transactions is a comprehensive analysis of the law governing trademark transactions in a variety of legal and business contexts, and from a range of jurisdictional and cross-border perspectives. After mapping out the international legal framework applicable to trademark transactions, the book provides an analysis of important strategic considerations, including: tax strategies; valuation; portfolio splitting; registration of security interests; choice-of-law clauses; trademark coexistence agreements, and dispute resolution mechanisms.

This book spans some 600 pages and an agreeably large proportion of it is taken up by transactions within the European Union and in specific EU national jurisdictions.  It is emphatically addressed to practitioners and contains many useful case citations; while there is some theory, it is what one might call 'practical' theory rather than abstract, theoretical theory.

You can get more details of this book from its website here -- where you can also order it.
