OHIM launches first Case Law Conference
Class 46 has learned that our good friends at the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM) are running a first-of-its-kind conference in Alicante, Spain, on 5 and 6 May: this is their IP Case Law Conference. Says OHIM:
This event is dedicated to substantive and procedural issues surrounding trade mark and design dispute resolution. The conference brings together users of the international IP systems, IP professionals, judges, national and European level institutions and administrations.
The event is designed to be as innovative and user-focused as possible. It will be held in an interactive format with ample opportunity for questions from the audience, and presentations on recent OHIM Boards of Appeal and EU case law topics.
A certificate of attendance will be available for all participants.
A registration fee of €150 will apply.
A provisional version of the conference programme is available here; this programme will be updated on a regular basis. If you like what you see, just click here to register.
Class 46 notes that much of the IP case law in Europe has featured MARQUES members, whether as litigants or as their professional representatives. They will no doubt be curious to know what the speakers and panellists have made of their endeavours.
