Check but not yet checkmate? Louis Vuitton Malletier appeals to CJEU
Two appeals to the Court of Justice of the European Union have been lodged by Louis Vuitton Malletier against the decisions of the General Court to refuse their challenges to OHIM's decisions to invalidate the registration of the two marks illustrated here. Unsurprisingly the ground in each case is lack of distinctive character. The General Court's decisions are T-359/12 and T-360/12.
The new case reference numbers are C-363/15 P and C-364/15 P Louis Vuitton Malletier v OHIM.
If you would like to comment on this case and tell the UK government if it should be thinking about making representations, please email policy@ipo.gov.uk by 5 January 2016.
