“Distinctiveness – Figurative marks containing descriptive/non-distinctive words”: now for a webinar
Our friends in the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM) Convergence Team have informed us that next Tuesday, 20 October 2015, the OHIM Academy is going to broadcast a webinar related to the outcome of a Convergence Programme project, “Distinctiveness – Figurative marks containing descriptive/non-distinctive words”.
This webinar proposes to give you an overview of the common principles achieved in the framework of this project, which sought to reach a common practice in relation to when a figurative mark, containing purely descriptive/non-distinctive words, passes the absolute grounds examination because the figurative element renders sufficient distinctive character. The webinar will place particular emphasis on examples that illustrate the principles for each of the considered criteria and their combinations.
The session will be broadcast live at 11:00 Central European Time through this link.
