Class 46 has learned from its friends in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) that their next Roving Seminar on WIPO services will take place in Stuttgart, Germany, on July 8, 2015. As is the custom and practice of these WIPO Roving Seminars, there is no charge for registering or attending. As a further commitment to long-standing custom, practice and WIPO's commitment to fun, in addition to the presentations and panel discussions there will be opportunities for networking during both the coffee break and lunch break. To ensure that the event is suitably serious, though, there will also be opportunities to interact with the Informationszentrum Patente, Stuttgart, the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) and local business representatives. 

Stuttgart is a great venue for a WIPO Roving Seminar, since it's a centre of IP excellence.  Stuttgart is the city associated with the superb engineering and technical excellence of the Porsche motor car, itself a major brand which has spun off into high performance wristwatches, among other things.  The car itself is quite dear, which is why the "deer" appears twice on its logo, borrowed from the city's coat of arms,  We may see more brand extensions: the Porsche Community trade mark is registered for, among other things, material for stopping teeth, fungicides, incubators for eggs, tapioca, beer and -- wait for it -- legal services.

This event will be in both German and English, with interpretation services provided.
