Who we all are...
Forget the saunas: the real heat is here!
"Meet the Judges - New IPR Court: Experiences and Legal Praxis" is the title of another in the series of MARQUES Meet the Judges events, taking place this time on Thursday 13 November 2014 in the Kansallissali, Aleksanterinkatu 44 A, 2.krs, Helsinki.
This is a wonderful opportunity to catch the Finnish judges who regularly preside over trade mark and other related IP matters.
In keeping with custom and practice, the judges will speak about the main substantive and procedural aspects of intellectual property law and unfair competition, following which you will have an opportunity to put your questions to them [says this blogger: this is a great chance to ask them why judgments from Finland are so short on legal reasoning when compared with most other EU counties; only the French seem more reluctant to indulge in judicial analysis].
Illustration: could this be the average consumer, Finnish-style?
The registration fee for this meeting, which will be conducted in Finnish, is €350. Do attend if you can. This event should be a real sizzler ...
