"Social Media: Scratching Below the Surface": a new MARQUES webinar
Do you fancy having a scratch? Are you itching to know about trade marks and the social media? If do, this may be for you.
"Social Media: Scratching Below the Surface" is the name of a MARQUES webinar led by members of the MARQUES Cyberspace Team Severine Abis (Procter & Gamble), Luca Barbero (Studio Barbero) and John Wilks (DLA Piper), follows on from an initial webinar the team delivered in 2012 on trade marks and social media, and will examine particular aspects of trade mark and advertising law as applied to social media. It will include a look at:
* trade mark issues arising from use of hashtags
* advertising on social media: a look at the approaches of different European regulators;
* running prize promotions on social media: including a look at platform Ts and Cs and common IP/ advertising law issues
* use of User Generated Content and crowdsourcing through social media
* referencing social media platforms, including use of their trade marks
* current views on the best approach to deal with infringements on the different platforms
