Finnish clothing and textile design company Marimekko has won this year's SIGNUM Prize. The award is made annually to a Nordic corporation for outstanding trade mark management and protection. The prize was presented at the Varumärkesdagen conference organised by IBC Euroforum in Stockholm last Thursday. Marimekko won the award -- the 14th -- for

"extremely consistent trade mark management, active and long-term protection of intellectual property rights, and an exemplary interaction between design, fashion and brand building".
