The WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center has announced the release of the "2014 WIPO Mediation, (Expedited) Arbitration and Expert Determination Rules" which will come into effect as of 1 June 2014 and can be found here.

Tells us WIPO "(i)nformed by WIPO case experience and by the global evolution of ADR practices, the updated WIPO Rules underscore the WIPO Center's commitment to time and cost efficiency of proceedings conducted under its Rules. Notably, disputes that involve multiple parties play a growing role in the WIPO Center's caseload. To that effect, new provisions have been introduced in the 2014 Rules that address the joinder of additional parties, and the consolidation of proceedings. In line with emerging standards in national and international institutional arbitration rules, the 2014 WIPO Rules also introduce emergency relief proceedings."
