Farewell Ruth, good luck Chrissie
Today marks the first day in office for Chrissie Florczyk as Director-General of the Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG). Chrissie takes over from Ruth Orchard, who was at the ACG's helm for the past 10½ years. Chrissie will be working together with Ruth till the latter steps down on 20 December, to ensure a smooth transition.

Farewell Ruth, good luck Chrissie
While the ACG is not specifically focused on brands and trade marks, since it covers all intellectual property rights, and while it deals -- as its name suggests -- with problems of protecting the public and rights holders against counterfeiting, it is a sister organisation that shares many of MARQUES's interests and objectives. Class 46 wishes Chrissie well in her new role and looks forward to cooperation between her organisation and MARQUES in all matters of mutual interest.
