German "Meet the Judges" event open for booking
At the beginning of October, we announced that the third “Meet the Judges” event was be held on German soil on 22 November, from 9.00 to 17.00 at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office. This popular and highly useful event, which will be conducted in German, is the fruit of cooperation between the German Patent and Trade Mark Office and the German Brand Association. "Among the judges taking part are Profs Drs Joachim Bornkamm (Presiding Judge of the German Federal Supreme Court) and Franz Hacker (Presiding Judge of the German Federal Patent Court), as well as Michael Schmidt (Presiding Judge of the Court of Appeal of Hamburg), Lars Meinhardt (Presiding Judge of the District Court of Munich) and Achim Bender (retired Member of one of the OHIM Boards of Appeal and Presiding Judge of the German Federal Patent Court).MARQUES will be represented by Dr Uwe Over, the German PTO by Barbara Preißner, Head of the Trade Mark Department of the German PTO and the German Brand Association by Dr Alexander Dröge, Head of Legal Department of the German Brand Association".
