UK Trade Marks (Fast Track Opposition) (Amendment) Rules 2013
From October 2013, the UK IPO will introduce a fast track trade mark opposition procedure meant to
reduce the cost and time burden of filing oppositions to new UK trade marks. The fast track route is "primarily aimed at improving SMEs access to justice at a cost proportionate to the complexity of the dispute at stake" (see also here).
The UK Trade Marks (Fast Track Opposition) (Amendment) Rules 2013 have now been published and can be found here. Thank you to Rachel Wilkinson-Duffy for alerting Class 46 to the publication of the new rules.
