Now UK accedes to Vienna pact on figurative marks
A further media release from the World Intellectual Property Organization, labelled "Vienna (Classification) Notification No. 35: Vienna Agreement Establishing an International Classification of the Figurative Elements of Marks. Accession by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", records that the UK has deposited its instrument of accession to the Vienna Agreement on the Classification of the Figurative Elements of Marks, availing itself of the reservation provided for in Article 4(5) of the Agreement. That provision states:

Now UK accedes to Vienna pact on figurative marks
"4(5) Any country may, at the time of its signature or of the deposit of its instrument of ratification or accession, declare that it does not undertake to include the numbers of all or some of the sections in official documents and publications relating to registrations and renewals of marks".
The Agreement, the full text of which you can read here, will enter into force, with respect to the UK, on 11 September 2013. It now has 32 members.
