Turkey: online opposition available, but no special fee
From MARQUES Linked In Group member Ozlem Ozgur Arslan (AKSAN) comes the news that, as of 24 May 2013, it has been possible to file an opposition online before the Turkish Patent Institute (TPI). Although the TPI applies a discount on the official fees while filing an online application, it is regretted that no discount is applied to the online opposition process.

Turkey: online opposition available, but no special fee
As for foreign associates, it is worth noting that you still need to hire a Turkish agent for the online filings since Turkish still continues to be the sole accepted language and direct foreign filings are not accepted. However, notwithstanding this we appreciate TPI’s approach to the low official fees for oppositions since they did not increase the fees in the year 2013. The opposition fee is still 100 Turkish Lira (40.35 euro).
