Happy birthday! OHIM's design mega-event approaches
The Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM -- or OAMI as if you prefer its Spanish acronym) is holding a very special 10th birthday conference for the Community Design System in Alicante on 8 and 9 April. So far, quite remarkably, well over 400 registrants, including representatives from 17 national offices, have signed up to attend. MARQUES members need little reminding of the importance of Community design law to their clients' businesses, given the overlaps and interfaces that exist between European trade mark and design laws.
