Poland: criminal charges for selling fake PGI
The District Prosecutor’s Office in Kraków informed that Kazimierz G. who sold Obwarzanek krakowski without a required certificate, will face a trail before the court. Kazimierz G. pleaded guilty, and explained that he was unaware of the existence of Obwarzanek krakowski as protected geographical indication.
He sold this product in September 2011 in Kraków. The Prosecutor found that invoices indicated that he bought ordinary bagels, which later he offered as "obwarzanki krakowskie". Posted by: Tomasz Rychlicki @ 13.28
