The DPMA, the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, has published the following information regarding protected geographical indications ("geschuetzte geografische Angabe"):
Publication of registration as geographical indication in week 6 of 2008: "Schrobenhausener Spargel" (Asparagus from Schrobenhausen); ref: 303 99 901.2, applicant: Spargelerzeugerverband Südbayern e.V.
Application to register as geographical indication in week 4 of 2008: "Rheinisches Apfelkraut" (Rhenish apple butter/molasses); ref: 305 99 003.9, applicant: Schutzgemeinschaft Rheinisches Zuckerrüben und Apfelkraut.
