Libel damages for brand endorsement slur
Further to last Friday's report on Chanel, Nicole Kidman and a 'press apology for brand endorsement slur', Reuters today reports that "Nicole Kidman won an apology and substantial libel damages from the Daily Telegraph on Friday over an article that falsely alleged the face of Chanel No 5 perfume had promoted a rival brand".
The Telegraph's publishers accepted that the allegations were untrue, and had established that the source of the article had invented the story.
