German Federal Patent Court: Annual Report for 2008
The German Federal Patent Court (Bundespatentgericht), which is, inter alia, the court of appeal against trade mark decisions of the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA), has now published its annual report for 2008. The report is available on the Court's website and by clicking here (PDF).
Like last year's report, this year's report also includes an English language summary (starting on page 125). The English language part, which has been authored by by Marianne Grabrucker, Presiding judge at the Federal Patent Court, and Elisabeth Fink, Judge at the Federal Patent Court, gives a very interesting and comprehensive overview of significant trade mark cases decided by the Court in 2008 (starting on page 153).
Further background information the Court's jurisdiction can be found here, Class 46' post concerning last year's report can be accessed here
Class 46 thanks Dennis Breuer, attorney at law and trade mark blogger (www.markenmagazin.de), for sending the link.
